SME workshops on the Basel climate action strategy

ecos conceptualized and facilitated four workshops for the Gewerbeverband Basel-Stadt (GVBS) on the implementation of the Basel Climate Action Plan Part 1.

SMEs awareness was raised and they were consulted in the political debate on the implementation of the net-zero target for 2037. The workshops covered the areas mobility, buildings, construction and economy in the climate strategy of the canton of Basel-Stadt. After an introduction, the members of the GVBS discussed the challenges and opportunities for businesses in the canton of Basel-Stadt. They also identified what they believe are the prerequisites for economically sustainable solutions and their experiences with subsidies, tools, etc. ecos developed the appropriate workshop concept in consultation with the GVBS and moderated the workshops with two facilitators.
