Workshop on sustainability communication in the textile value chain
On behalf and in collaboration with Swiss Fair Trade, ecos developed a workshop concept and contents on sustainability communication in the textile value chain and consequently led through the workshop.
Client: Swiss Fair Trade
Project period: 06/2024-09/2024
For Swiss Fair Trade, ecos designed and led a workshop on sustainability communication in the textile value chain with around 20 participants.
The content was based on the goals of Sustainable Textiles Switzerland 2030 as a reference framework for the textile value chain in Switzerland. But it also took into account current legislative developments and credibility challenges, in particular greenwashing.
In an interactive format, ecos first outlined the principles for effectively communicating sustainability strategies and supply chain policies. Furthermore, we explained and discussed the relevant aspects and developments in Swiss legislation (non-financial reporting in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations, Climate Change Reporting Ordinance, VSoTr), in Europe (CSRD, CSDDD) and in Germany (Supply Chain Duty of Care Act). In addition to theory and knowledge building, the focus was on many practical examples and the exchange between the participants. There was plenty of room to share practical experiences and learn from each other.
