Martin Rohner brings with him a wealth of experience in sustainable development, development finance and sustainable finance from the public and private sector. With a background in economics, he worked, among other things, as an advisor to the Swiss Executive Director of the Inter-American Development Bank and the World Bank, as well as with the federal government, as Head of Multilateral Financial Institutions at SECO. He then served as CEO of the Max Havelaar Foundation Switzerland, before becoming CEO of Alternative Bank Switzerland in 2012, where he was in charge of corporate development and, on an interim basis, the credit department for several years. Martin is currently Executive Director of the Global Alliance for Banking on Values, a global movement for sustainable and value-based banks. Martin Rohner holds a degree in business administration from the University of St.Gallen and an M.Phil Environment and Development from the University of Cambridge.
