CARGO SOUS TERRAIN

Cargo sous terrain (CST) is a sustainable, automated overall logistics system that enables the flexible, underground transportation of pallets, including interim storage and fine distribution. This new type of underground freight infrastructure will supplement the Swiss road and rail network from 2031 and relieve pressure at critical points. The first section in the central Swiss midlands will connect the Härkingen-Gäu area with Zurich/Zurich Airport. A complete network between Lake Constance and Lake Geneva with branches to Basel and Lucerne is planned by 2045. ecos is responsible for managing communication and public affairs throughout Switzerland. This entails targeted communication with the various stakeholders (politicians, administration, investors, implementation partners, etc.). Some of the tasks include development of the communication strategy and documents, information dossiers, presentations, etc., organization of major events with stakeholders and interested parties (including municipal representatives) and numerous other public events, discussions and negotiations with cantonal and municipal representatives, documentation, information and exchange with the municipalities on the ongoing measurements and exploratory drilling along the first section, as well as media work at local and national level.
