Circular Cities Switzerland
ecos, MAVA and Circle Economy are tackling the topic of the circular economy in cities in the joint project “Circular Cities Switzerland”.
Together with various Swiss cities, the project partners are undergoing a systematic process in which they are initiating an intensive stakeholder dialog with various urban players. In this process, they record the local conditions and material flows with the help of material flow analysis. The result of this process is the development of local and concrete lighthouse projects on material cycles.
In addition, ecos, MAVA and Circle Economy are building a national network with the aim of intensifying the transfer of knowledge and exchange between Swiss cities in order to promote, initiate and launch lighthouse projects in the area of the circular economy in other cities as well. This new platform integrates a large number of stakeholders in a co-creation process. It will give Swiss cities an impetus to think in a circular way and provide impetus throughout Switzerland.
