Prozirkula
Prozirkula is a competence center for public recycling procurement. Ecos is building it in partnership with Rytec Circular. The project is supported by the MAVA Foundation.
With Prozirkula, we support public procurement departments in integrating the principles of the circular economy and resource efficiency into the procurement process. This is possible, for example, with the procurement of “products as a service” or the introduction of return or buy-back modalities after use.
The aim of circular procurement is to obtain more ecological solutions at the same or even lower cost. The higher manufacturing costs of the products are offset by their longer service life. Circular procurement therefore offers the opportunity to reduce CO2 emissions and other negative environmental impacts without investing additional taxpayers’ money.
