Sustainable Textiles Switzerland 2030 Office

Ensuring robust, impact-oriented program management to promote a sustainable textile industry in Switzerland.

Client: The Sustainable Textiles Switzerland 2030 programme is supported by the three associations Swiss Textiles, amfori and Swiss Fair Trade. The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN) provide strategic support by participating in the steering committee.

Project period: 2020–2025

As the administrative office, we took on the operational management of the program (2019–2025): coordinating partners, financial and resource planning, designing and implementing dialogue formats, and strategic communication. We built up an international network of industry players and organizations and supported the process of institutionalizing STS 2030 as an association.

The Sustainable Textiles Switzerland 2030 program has brought together the key players in the Swiss textile and clothing industry in a multi-stakeholder dialogue to develop joint sustainability goals for 2030.

  • Goal 1: Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions
  • Goal 2: Promote fair wages and decent work for all
  • Goal 3: Promote innovative business models towards a circular economy.
  • Goal 4: Transparency to ensure that sustainable purchasing decisions can be made.

Sustainable Textiles Switzerland 2030 supports actors in the Swiss textile and clothing sector in acting in a socially and environmentally responsible manner throughout their entire supply chain and integrating transparent sustainability criteria into their organizations. Since a large part of textile production takes place outside Switzerland, the program was coordinated internationally and tailored to the specific requirements of the Swiss context.
