Désirée Gabriel
Project Manager

Désirée is a senior project manager in the circular economy team at ecos. She has many years of experience in sustainability and circular economy, with a particular focus on textiles. Her expertise includes developing sustainable strategies and procurement criteria, implementing circular design and business models, and managing complex multi-stakeholder and co-creation processes.

At ecos, she heads the Sustainable Textiles Switzerland 2030 programme and leads pilot projects on fair wages, social circular economy, and textile recycling. She also advises and supports companies and public institutions in their transformation to circular and sustainable systems. In addition, she brings in-depth practical experience from her own sustainable fashion label, particularly in the areas of circular design, supply chain management and marketing.

Désirée holds a master’s degree in Sustainability in Fashion and Creative Industries from AMD Berlin and a bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from FHNW in Basel. In addition, she completed the Project Cycle Management course at NADEL at ETH Zurich in order to be able to systematically plan, implement and evaluate projects, particularly in the context of international cooperation.
