Hannes Degen
Head of IT
Hannes has been a member of the ecos team since 1998. In his time with us, he has worked on a huge number of projects, starting off as a database programmer and IT support assistant for the first few years and then moving on to project management across different departments. Since 2008, he has also been working as a research associate for the ‘Namenbuch der Nordwestschweiz’ (‘Book of the Names of Northwestern Switzerland’) National Fund project, which is based at the University of Basel. Hannes studied Geography at the University of Basel, with Physics and IT as subsidiary subjects.
