Simon Widmer
Project Manager

Simon is a senior project manager focused on contributing to the circular economy transition in Switzerland. He is passionate about co-creating a regenerative, life-friendly, caring future and brings in 10 years of experience in the fields of circular economy and strategy consulting. During his 7 years at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, he participated in the creation of two systemic initiatives: The New Plastics Economy initiative and the Circular Design Programme. As part of this, he co-created tools and innovation methods such as the Circular Design Guide, supported internationally leading companies on their circular economy innovation journey, and initiated collaborative spaces such as the Circular Design Leaders group and the Circular Design Assembly. Previously, he served clients as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company across a range of strategy projects. Simon studied Strategy and International Management at the University of St. Gallen and Finance at the University of Zurich.
