How can human influence on the climate system be observed, detected and quantified? What is «dangerous climate change», and what are the social, political and ethical implications? The 2016 Hans Sigrist Symposium will provide a forum for discussion of the science basis that led to this conclusion and for discussion of future prospects including the ethical, societal, and legal implications of Detection & Attribution science.
